ProtectBody Application Privacy Declaration

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the ProtectBody mobile application published on Google Play. It provides full transparency regarding health data tracking, Google Health Connect integration, camera usage, step insights, and Google AdMob / AdSense advertising services.

Google Health Connect Permissions & Limited Use Disclosure

The use of information received from Google Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect Permissions Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

No Advertising or Marketing: Health Connect data and health metrics are strictly excluded from advertising, marketing, profiling, or commercial ad networks (including Google AdMob and Google AdSense).
No Sale of Data: Health data is NEVER sold, leased, or traded to third parties, data brokers, or external entities.
No Lending / Credit Decisions: Health Connect data is never transferred or evaluated for creditworthiness, underwriting, or financial lending.
Strict Purpose Scope: Health data read from Health Connect is used solely to display user step counts, calculate weekly activity insights, and power progress tracking features within ProtectBody.

1. Health Data We Access and Collect

ProtectBody collects and accesses health-related data exclusively to provide core health and wellness management features:

Weight & Progress Tracking

User-entered body weight logs, target goal weights, progress history, and timeline entries.

Meal & Water Tracking

Daily meal entries, food descriptions, calorie/nutrition estimates, and daily water volume intake logs.

Step Tracking (Health Connect)

Daily step counts and physical activity metrics read directly from Google Health Connect upon user authorization.

Weekly Step Insights

Weekly aggregated step analytics, averages, and progress trends calculated to help users achieve activity goals.

Meal Photo Capture & Media Access

Camera permission (android.permission.CAMERA) and photo library access granted by the user to capture or pick meal photos attached to daily food entries. Photos remain stored locally on device.

2. How We Use Health Data

Health data collected in ProtectBody is used strictly for the following purposes:

Rendering your daily water and meal consumption logs.
Calculating and displaying body weight progress toward target goals.
Displaying daily step counts and computing weekly step insights.
Displaying meal photos within your personal food diary.
Improving local app responsiveness and user experience.

ProtectBody integrates third-party advertising services provided by Google LLC, specifically Google AdMob and Google AdSense, to serve advertisements within the application.

3.1 Advertising Data Collected by Google

Google AdMob / AdSense and their third-party advertising partners may collect and process non-sensitive technical data to display, personalize, and measure advertisements, including:

Advertising Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (GAID) or IDFA on mobile devices.
Device & OS Data: Device model, hardware parameters, screen resolution, operating system version, and mobile network operator.
Network & Location Data: IP address and coarse/approximate geolocation (derived from IP address).
Ad Interaction Data: Impressions, ad views, clicks, and interaction timestamps within the app.
Cookies & SDK Technologies: Mobile Ads SDK tokens, web beacons, and local storage technologies used for ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud prevention.

Strict Health Data Exclusion from Google AdMob / AdSense

In compliance with Google Play's User Data & Health Connect policies, ProtectBody strictly excludes all Health Data (including step counts, Health Connect metrics, body weight history, water intake logs, and meal photos) from Google AdMob, Google AdSense, and any ad targeting network. Your health data is NEVER shared with or sent to Google AdMob or Google AdSense.

3.2 Personalized vs. Non-Personalized Ads

Depending on your jurisdiction (such as the European Economic Area / UK under GDPR or California under CCPA) and your consent preferences, Google AdMob may serve:

Personalized Ads: Advertisements tailored based on your interest profiles, app activity outside of ProtectBody, or previous device interaction data processed by Google.
Non-Personalized Ads: Contextual advertisements served based on general contextual signals (such as time of day, approximate country location, or general app category) rather than user activity history.

3.3 User Advertising Choices & Opt-Out

You can manage, reset, or disable personalized advertising at any time:

Google Ad Preferences: Manage your global Google advertising settings at Google Ads Settings.
Android Device Settings: Reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads via Settings > Privacy > Ads or Settings > Google > Ads > Delete / Reset Advertising ID.
In-App Consent Dialog (EEA/UK Users): You can modify or withdraw your ad privacy consent preferences at any time within ProtectBody settings.

We DO NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal health data to any third party.

Health data read via Google Health Connect or entered in ProtectBody is strictly prohibited from being transferred to third parties, except:

Where required by applicable law, legal process, or court order.
To service providers strictly necessary to operate app infrastructure under robust confidentiality and security agreements.

5. Data Storage and Security

ProtectBody prioritizes local data security. Your health tracking records, step logs, water entries, and meal photos are stored directly on your device inside secure application storage.

Any network data transit (such as app updates or backup requests) is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS / TLS encryption.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your health data remains on your Android device for as long as ProtectBody is installed, or until you choose to delete entries within the app.

How to delete your data:

Clear App Data: You can delete all locally stored health data immediately by clearing ProtectBody's storage via Android Settings > Apps > ProtectBody > Storage & Cache > Clear Storage.
Revoke Permissions: You can revoke Google Health Connect or Camera permissions anytime in your device settings under Settings > Privacy > Health Connect.
